How To Find the Right Instructor
- TRUST rating acts to supplement other swimming credentials and approaches. Please verify your choosen instructor's outside credentials.
- Availability of instructors and the student's age are going to be the most important factors in choosing an instructor.
- TRUST rated instructors have been exposed to the same ideological approach but not every TRUST rated instructor implements this
approach as effectively as others. Refer to instructor ratings to get a better understanding of how effective an instructor will be at meeting your needs.
For students under age 7:
- - When available, we would recommend finding an TRUST rated Infant Swimming Resource (ISR) instructor.
- - If there are no ISR instructors in your area, then choose a TRUST rated instructor who teaches the survival sequence swim-float-swim
promoted by organizations like ISR.
- - Finding a TRUST rated instructor is particularly important for students 3 year and older.
For students over age 7:
- - When available, choose a TRUST rated Miracle Swimming Institute (MSI) instructor or TRUST rated Infant Swimming Resource (ISR) instructor.
- - However, when not available, a TRUST rated instructor is going to be best suited to meet your needs.
What to do if you can't find a TRUST rated instructor near you?
- - The program is set up with the idea of making it easy for instructors everywhere to get and learn the information.
- - If you find a non-Trust rated instructor, you can direct them to www.SwimWithTrust.com to become rated and join the movement of instructors dedicated to changing the Learn-To-Swim Experience.
- - Finally make sure to fill in an email address in the instructor locator and we will notify you when a TRUST rated instructor is available in your area.
Help future students by rating your instructor.
